How to Book

Booking a Flight, Step by Step

A booking on Flights Monkey takes six steps. Here is what each one asks of you:

1. Search: Use the search form at the top of the home page. Put in where you are flying from and to, your dates, and how many people are travelling, then run the search.

2. Pick a flight: The results come back sorted, and you can re-sort them by price or departure time and cut them down with the filters beside the list. Open a result to see the stops, the timings and the airline before you commit, then select the one you want.

3. Check the fare breakdown: The booking page lays out the full itinerary, the baggage allowance and the fare split into base fare, taxes and fees, so you can see what the total is made of. Read it before you go on. The fare is held for a short window, not indefinitely.

4. Enter passenger details: Fill in each traveller's name exactly as the passport spells it, with dates of birth where they are asked for, plus an email address, phone number and address for the booking itself.

5. Agree and submit: Tick the terms and conditions box and press Proceed to Pay. If you would rather not put card details in online, call one of the numbers in the footer and an agent will take the same booking over the phone.

6. Confirmation: You land on a confirmation page carrying your booking reference, the itinerary and the fare, and a copy goes to the email address you gave. An agent then rings the number on the booking to confirm the fare and issue the ticket.

Six steps and a reference number. If anything stalls along the way, call Flights Monkey and an agent will finish the booking with you.
